A new team, the Lancaster Braves have been admitted into the league for the 2008 season, bringing the total number of teams in the league to 12.
There will be no All-Star Game this year; instead, an All-League team will be selected and posted to the website.
The league will be divided into 2 divisions, east and west
Each team will face their division rivals 3 times in the season, and will face all teams from the other division twice (27 games total).
The top 4 teams from each division qualify for playoffs.
The 1-4 seeds from each division will play each other, and the winners from round one in each division will play each other in the second round. The two winners from each division will then face off in the League Championship Series.
For example, if the final Western Division standings are
1. Smitty's
2. SWS
3. Jonestown
4. Manheim Township
Then, Smitty's would play MT and SWS would play Jonestown in the first round. The winners from each series would play each other in the second round, and the winner of that series would play their counterpart from the East Division in the LCS.
